In partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council and Costain Ltd, media4schools are working with pupils from Pontypridd High School to document the regeneration of Pontypridd's town centre. Over two years, media4schools are mentoring pupils to produce three films, which will document this exciting transformation. Roving reporters from Pontypridd High School are developing their media production skills by scripting, filming, presenting and interviewing key representatives for each of the films. Take a look for yourself! Episode 1 In this the first episode, the pupils look at Ponty's proud history and the street work changes that are beginning to take place.
Episode 2 In the second episode, the Roving Reporters learn more about the new Roll of Honour unveiled at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and show the many changes to the shopping area, along with the development of the Riverside Shopping Centre and Sainsbury’s.
An opportunity to work with media4schools on the Regeneration of Pontypridd promotional DVD was a fantastic opportunity for them to broaden their skills. The Reporters who took part conducted themselves articulately and like true professionals, particularly enjoying the location filming and script writing.
