One of the major components of the exciting new regeneration project in Pontypridd is the Townscape Enhancement Programme, which will provide the opportunity for commercial property owners in the town to take advantage of a new funding scheme with a contribution of up to 70% potentially available.

The Townscape Enhancement Programme is seen as an integral element of the physical regeneration of Pontypridd town centre, delivering improvements to the fabric of properties and the townscape.

To date more than 70 property owners have contacted the Regeneration Team to find out more about how they can benefit from the widespread programme of investment in the town centre. In the last few months two properties have undergone significant redevelopment works, new businesses have been created and employment opportunities have been created. Without doubt the programme is proving a huge benefit to the local economy.

Through the programme, renovation and improvement works to buildings will be supported, within the commercial core of Pontypridd town centre. The scheme will enhance commercial properties through high quality improvements, creating an attractive townscape, and instilling a strong sense of “place” for shoppers, residents and business people alike.
